Builder and Decorator Career

I bring you a Builder and Decorator Career, requested by my Mum! For this career to show up in game, you’ll need Twallan’s Careers Mod:

Patch 1.29 ~ Phase Nine
Patch 1.31-1.36 ~ Phase Ten
Patch 1.38-1.39 ~ Phase Eleven
Patch 1.42-1.48 ~ Phase Twelve
Patch 1.50 ~ Phase Thirteen
Patch 1.55-1.57 ~ Phase Fourteen
Patch 1.63 ~ Phase Fifteen

Only the Base game is needed for this career to work but it will work with any combination of Expansion and Stuff packs.
It was made with patch 1.38 and works on patches 1.38-1.63 and should work on all patch levels, although if it doesn’t, please let me know.
The career is written in English, Swedish, Dutch, Polish and Brazilian Portuguese (Thanks to Nike, Denise, Elianka and vini for the translations!) and currently doesn’t support any other translations. I’ll include translation instructions at the end.

The career is based at the City Hall. It has ten levels and focuses on the Athletic, Logic and Painting skills.
There are currently no uniforms, although I do eventually plan on adding some. You can also edit career outfits with patch 1.31 and above, so I highly suggest using this feature to give your Sims a uniform of your own choosing 🙂
Right now, there are no opportunities. I am going to be attempting this soon, so watch this space!
There are two custom tones, Practise Bricklaying, which builds the Athletic skill and Create Paint Samples, which builds the Painting skill.

Career Levels

1. Painter ~ No drips allowed! You’re starting your promising career as a simple painter, painting the houses in your neighbourhood and sometimes even painting the interior rooms of some of the fanciest houses in town (and some of the smallest, too). Carefully load that brush and get painting inside and out!
§15/hour
Hours: 7.00am ~ 5.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

2.  Wallpaper Hanger  ~ Remember the saying, measure twice and cut once? Well, now it applies to you! You’re the guy (girl) who hangs the wallpaper when someone redecorates their house (translation: someone orders YOU to redecorate their house). Slap that paste on and hang that paper!
§25/hour
Hours:  7.00am ~ 5.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

3. Plasterer ~ When houses are built, they need walls. And walls need plaster before they can be decorated. When the walls are up, get that plaster made up and slap it on nice and smooth. It’s better than hanging wall paper all day and you get to be part of the foundations of a new house! (Not literally…)
§30/hour
Hours:  7.00am ~ 5.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

4. Wall Tiler ~ There’s nothing like a nicely tiled wall in a bubbly bathroom or a clean kitchen. Tiling is an art and you’re now learning to master that art! Keep at it; you’ll soon be tiling with the best of them!

§55/hour
Hours:  7.00am ~ 5.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

5. Bricklayer ~ All builders need to know the basics of bricklaying. There’s a right way and a wrong way to put up a wall. A good brickie does it the right way, so make sure you’re not a bad brickie whose walls fall down within minutes, or it’ll be back to the decorating (or the hospital) for you!
§70/hour
Hours:  7.00am ~ 5.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

6. Carpenter ~ Working with wood, you can build almost anything! From bookshelves and cabinets to beds and built-in cupboards, you’re woodworking skills are becoming known in the town as being among the best!
§95/hour
Hours:  7.00am ~ 5.00pm

7. Joiner ~ Getting those angles to line up just right is an art in itself. All the best carpenters have mastered this art.

§145/hour
Hours:  7.00am ~ 5.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

8. Roofing Specialist ~ From simple leaks to whole new roofs. No job is too big or too small for the roofing specialist! You’ve learnt how to distinguish a weak roof from a strong one and whether the roof will allow the rain and snow to gather in the attic, or whether the attics in town are safe from the weather!
§200/hour
Hours:  7.00am ~ 5.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

9. Building Contractor ~ Can you fix it? Can you build it? Feeling like Bob the Builder yet? Well you’re not the most famous cartoon builder (since you’re not a cartoon) but you are becoming the most famous builder in your town. So, can you fix it? Can you build it? Of course you can!
§325/hour
Hours:  7.00am ~ 5.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

10. Master Builder ~If a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well and who better to call than the Master Builder? You’ve climbed to the top of the builder’s ladder and become the best of the best of the best! You decorate every home in town and you’re involved in every building project in the area. Bask in the glow of your success, you’ve worked hard to achieve it!

Yknow, you could probably rename this ‘Contractor’! I think it’s about the same as what you’ve made here. :>
