I bring you a Modelling Career, requested by AliceAndTheHatter, Lenaluchen, bunny-hopp123, suga26, Keyona121, LadyAmethyst89 and Talia19, all from MTS. For this career to show up in game, you’ll need Nraas Careers Mod.
The Base Game, World Adventures, Late Night and University are needed for this career. It was made with patch 1.34 and works on patch 1.69.
The career is written in English, French, German, Portuguese (Standard), Spanish (Standard and Mexican), Danish, Polish, Swedish, Finnish, Russian, Dutch, Italian and Czech. I’ll include translation instructions at the end.
The career is based at the Theatre. To change the designated rabbithole to suit your own requirements, I have a tutorial HERE for you to follow. If you have a version with anything added to the end of the file name, remove it and download the new file. It has ten levels and focuses on the Athletic, Social Networking and Celebrity Level skills.
This career does have uniforms. Levels 3, 4, 5 and 8 have uniforms, made by bunny-hopp123 and suga26. I am aware that models don’t usually wear the clothes they’re modelling to work, however as there is an issue with patch 1.31 and up where Sims around town won’t go to work in their everyday clothes, I decided to include some uniforms.

Your sim may receive a bonus on Snowflake Day if Seasons is installed.

Career Levels
1. Pageant Contestant ~ It’s best to start small and a local pageant is perfect. If you can show off enough to get some individual attention, you could be well on your way to success. Eat sensibly, work out and pick out your best outfit because you’ve got the chance to prove you can do it!

2. Body-Part Model ~ You were selected by the pageant organisers to start climbing the modelling ladder! Admittedly, all people will see is your hands or legs but who cares? You’re still a model and not everyone can become an instant supermodel you know. It’s definitely a start and while you’re promoting that new bracelet or fancy pair of trainers, you might just get picked for something bigger and better.

3. Promotional Model ~ At least people can now see your face. You have become a promotional model and you’re employed to make products look good. No TV cameras yet and not even a small headshot in a magazine but it’s better than showing of your hand, isn’t it?

4. Magazine Model ~ Aha, a camera! The new spring collection has arrived and you’re modelling it for the fashion magazines. You job is to basically sit there and look pretty/handsome. Keep that body in shape or it’ll be back to vying for attention at another pageant.

5. Advertisement Model ~ Your agent has secured you a job where you’re finally going to be on TV! You can now advertise the latest clothing selections for major department store on TV and can start to become a household name. Your claim to fame has begun. You can only go up from here!

6. Underwear Model ~ After your success on television and in magazines, your agent found you a position as the newest underwear model for the biggest companies in town. Depends what patch you are on. If you’re on the latest patch (1.50), then install the last one.
If you’re not sure which patch level you’re on, open your launcher and hover over the first icon on the bottom left-hand corner and see what it says 🙂

Have you made a version for Patch 1.67, or does Phase Fifteen work with it? I’m just concerned it will mess up my game if I download it for the wrong patch.

Make sure you have the latest version of Twallan’s Careers Mod. The careers themselves are up to date 🙂
I am having problems with level 9, where the game glitches. What can I do?
Which version are you using? And what happens? 🙂

I really love this modeling carreer. I use the one based in the theatre. However, i seem to have a problem. Everytime i get to level 9 or 10 something happens with the romantic attraction system. they get on really well. Flirt a lot. Get romantic letters etc. want to be together etc. but then the next day they aren’t attracted anymore and the relationship seems to be reset to the beginning. This happend with two different sims. I started twice a new game and it happend again. I don’t know how to explain this. I use the same mods for a long time in my game. Never had any problem until now. So i don’t know why this keeps happening. I use Nraas careermod phase 15 for patch level 1.69. (Origin did an automatic update when reinstalling my game). Could that be the problem?
Hmm, this is a new one. Are you using the Base Game version? Or the version that requires the celebrity level?
Hello! I’m just wondering, you said the mod should work with patch 1.67 as long as I have Phase Fifteen of Twallan’s Careers installed (which I do). I’m just wondering which version of this mod I should download? Do I download the one labeled Phase Fifteen, even though it also says it’s for patch 1.63?

Hi Missy. I originally using another Modelling career by someone and wanted to change to your version, but I can’t get it to work properly. My sim still has the old career levels and not yours. I can tell my the job titles. I removed yours several times & replaced it (thinking that maybe I got them mixed up by mistake). I’m positive that I have YOUR Modelling career in my game now. I tried clearing my caches, resetting my sim, having her quit and rejoin the career, removing & replacing your mod and even tried a different sim and I still have the same results. I did all this several times. I have the correct Nraas Career Mod for my patch level (1.67). I can also tell it’s not yours by the picture icon. Could you please help me figure out how to fix this so I can have YOUR version and not someone else’s. Thanks.
Ooh, this is a new one. The best I can suggest at the moment would be to have your sim (and any others that may be in the career) to quit their job. Then save and quit the game and delete the Modelling career from your mods folder, clear the caches and redownload mine from the site and place that in your mods folder. Bring the game back up and get your sim to join the career again and see if that makes a difference. If you’ve been using the Modelling career I’m thinking of, they both have the same GUID and this would explain a conflict. By getting your sim to quit before removing the other one, that should refresh everything. Hopefully. Good luck!
I haven’t tried that yet. The Modelling career you are probably thinking of is listed on the right under your downloads for other websites. I’m using his career. if that may help you, should this idea not work. Will try both ways and hopefully that will work. I’ll let you know how it turns out. Thanks Missy.

Well, I tried your instructions exactly and it’s a no go. 😞 Still getting the same results. I brought the game back up, restarted & powered off my computer (before I restarted the game again). I also tried a brand new game with a never before used sim from my Sim Bin and even she had the same old Modelling career. I was thinking, I hear about this Overrides Folder, could I put yours in there to override his career? Or is there anything I could do to make yours different from his (like add an extension at the end. Ex- “.exe”)? Something to make them stand apart so my game will know that this is a new & different Modelling career. I left her unemployed for now. I stopped immediately when I saw it wasn’t yours (I didn’t except the career after I applied). Do you have any other suggestions? Or am I stuck with his Modelling career forever? 😞😢 😦 😥
The Overrides folder is certainly worth a try. I’ve never encountered this at all before, it’s peculiar. The only thing to do to separate them would be change the GUID but that’s not a simple, quick solution. So give the overrides folder a try and see how that goes.
Also, double check every folder you have in the Mods folder, to ensure there isn’t a duplicate career hiding in there somewhere. I don’t expect there to be, as the game should have thrown up an error by now.
The only other thing I can think of is to remove all Modelling careers from your game, boot up the save to ensure the sim has no career. Maybe even temporarily assign them a different career. Clear the caches and try putting my Modelling career in. It might not make much difference but you never know. If you still can’s get this to work, email me. I might have a longer-winded solution.

Hello there. 🙂 This career is not working correctly. When clicking theatre, this career shows up as “JoinCareer15736265822828166952” And there is no texts when trying to join to this job. Anyway thank you so much for doing these careers to the game! Hopefully this will be repaired someday. 🙂
What language is your game in? I’ve had problems with some of the translations so I wonder if yours might be one of them. Once I know what language your game’s in, I can check for you!
Hi Missy! When I use your mod, I get an error saying “error on line 240 at column 11: Opening and ending tag mismatch: None line 28 and Content”. Do you know what the cause of this is?

Okay, I’ve had a look at that and it doesn’t look like the error is referencing my career at all. Do you happen to use rspn’s Modelling career as well?
The reason I ask is that this error is referencing a career using the OmniCareer script class. My modelling one doesn’t use it but if you’re using the other on, I think that might. Plus the two conflict with each other.
Sorry for the very late response. I did have both mods installed, and so I removed the rspn mod. Afterwards, I reassigned my sim to another job, and reassigned them back to your modeling career…and I still get the same error. I’m at a loss at what to do.
Did you clear your caches after removing rspn’s mod? I would strongly suggest the following:
1) Uninstall my modelling career as well. Make sure you have no modelling careers installed at all.
2) Clear your caches and launch your game.
3) Load your save and Save it (without ANY modelling career installed).
4) Choose one of the modelling careers and install that.
5) Launch game, put Sim back into the modelling career and see it that works.
With any luck, that ought to do it. If you get another error AFTER completing these steps, please do send that to me as well and I can have another look for you. Good luck and let me know how you get on!

Not really, no, since it is required for some of the skill levels!
