Star Trek Career

I bring you a Star Trek Career, requested by daniandan from MTS. For this career to show up in game, you’ll need Twallan’s Careers Mod:

Patch 1.29 ~ Phase Nine
Patch 1.31-1.36 ~ Phase Ten
Patch 1.38-1.39 ~ Phase Eleven
Patch 1.42-1.48 ~ Phase Twelve
Patch 1.50 ~ Phase Thirteen
Patch 1.55-1.57 ~ Phase Fourteen
Patch 1.63 ~ Phase Fifteen

Only the Base Game is needed for this career to work but it will work with any combination of Expansion and Stuff packs.
It was made with patch 1.36 and works on patches 1.36-163 and should work on all lower patch levels, although if it doesn’t, please let me know.
The career is written in English and Brazilian Portuguese (Thanks vini for the translation!) and currently doesn’t support any other language translations. I’ll include translation instructions at the end.

The career is based at the Military Base. It has ten levels and focuses on the Athletic and Logic skills.
There are currently no uniforms for this career since I couldn’t find anything suitable. If you do find any uniforms that might suit this career, by all means let me know and I’d be more than happy to include them. You can edit career outfits with patch 1.31 and above, so I highly suggest using this feature to give your Sims a uniform of your own choosing 🙂
Uniform Recommendations:
l-c.h’s TNG style uniforms
Ghost21’s TNG style uniforms for Males and Females

Right now, there are no opportunities. Daniandan has provided me with information for opportunities but after spending two days trying to make opportunities work, I have temporarily set them aside. I will continue to battle with the coding and update as soon as I get some working!
There is one custom tone, Work Out, which builds the Athletic skill.

Seems to be a problem with this career (for me at least), my sims go to work with the car-pool but then stand around at the entrance to the military base and remain in the ‘going to work’ state until the end of their shift. Obviously career progress is thus impossible.

  2. AndyS says:

Hi…..Cheers for the reply. Tried all the usual, including deleting caches etc. Several sims (bridge crew of the Enterprise), levels 2-5 (IIRC). Can’t tell about work uniform, as I have everyday, formal, outerwear and workwear set the same for all of them (ST uniforms from MTS IIRC).

  3. missyhissy says:

Hmm, interesting. This is a new one, anyway.
Have you tried deleting the military rabbithole and replacing it? Not saying it’ll work but the game does strange things. One other thing to try is adding a new uniform and seeing if that makes a difference.
I’ve looked over the career but I can’t see what would be causing it. So it could be one of those two things (the uniform one is common, so it’s possible that might be it).
    Good luck!
