Teaching Career

I bring you a Teaching Career, requested by savanna1023 and MissMikki! For this career to show up in game, you’ll need Twallan’s Careers Mod:

Patch 1.29 ~ Phase Nine
Patch 1.31-1.36 ~ Phase Ten
Patch 1.38-1.39 ~ Phase Eleven
Patch 1.42-1.48 ~ Phase Twelve
Patch 1.50 ~ Phase Thirteen
Patch 1.55-1.57 ~ Phase Fourteen
Patch 1.63 ~ Phase Fifteen
Only the Base game is needed for this career to work and it will work with any combination of Expansion and Stuff packs.
It was made with patch 1.55 and and works on patches 1.57-1.63 and should work on all patch levels, although if it doesn’t, please let me know.
The career is in English and Swedish (Thanks to Nike for the translation!) . I’ll include translation instructions at the end.

The career is based at the School. It has ten levels and focuses on the Charisma and Logic skills, with some levels requiring Writing and Painting.
There are no uniforms for this career. You can edit career outfits with patch 1.31 and above, so I highly suggest using this feature to give your Sims a uniform of your own choosing :)
Right now, there are no opportunities. I am going to be attempting this soon, so watch this space!
There is one custom tone; Hold Tutor Session, which builds the Logic skill.

This is a split-branch career, meaning that, when you’re promoted to Level 6, you have the choice of whether you want to pursue a career as an Elementary School Teacher, or a Secondary (or High) School Teacher.

Career Levels

1. Playground Monitor ~ Keeping the peace among the students is a job in itself but you can do it. Just keep a beady eye out for the bullies in the playground and help out the victims. As long as you report the incidents to your superiors, you should get along just fine.
§25/hour
Hours: 8.00am ~ 3.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

2.  Teachers Assistant  ~ The teachers need you to help in the classroom. You will aid the children who need that bit of extra help, make sure everyone understood the instructions, and run errands for the teachers. It sometimes feels like a pretty thankless job, but a necessary one if you want that classroom experience.
§30/hour
Hours:  8.00am ~ 3.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

3. Higher Level Teachers Assistant ~ As an HLTA you’ll help out the teacher even more as you have that extra experience. This will prove invaluable to you in your later studies as a teacher. Your job doesn’t really feel any different to that of a mere Teachers Assistant, but the pay is a significant increase due to your experience.
§50/hour
Hours:  8.00am ~ 3.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

4. Cover Supervisor ~ Sometimes teachers get sick and when they do the school needs a cover supervisor to fill in and take the class. Of course it’s not always that simple. The teachers often leave no work prepared for their classes and you’re not yet qualified to teach the students. So some degree of improvisation is required in this job and an ability to remain calm and collected in even the most difficult classroom situations.
§75/hour
Hours:  8.00am ~ 3.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

5. Trainee Teacher ~ You’ve made it this far but this is where you really get to teach and keep order in the classroom. You’re still only a trainee, so you have yet to earn the respect of the students. But while it’s a long way off from becoming a respected teacher, it’s definitely a start. Soon, you’ll have to make serious decisions about how you’re going to shape your career.
§100/hour
Hours:  8.00am ~ 3.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Elementary Branch
6. Graduate Teacher ~ Putting your all round knowledge of subjects is the key to holding the admittedly short attention-spans of the elementary students. You’ve begun to earn their respect as a newly qualified teacher and the children are beginning to like you. Keep your teaching standards high and you’ll be climbing that educational ladder to Principal in no time.
§125/hour
Hours: 8.00am ~ 3.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
7. Infants Teacher ~ From ABC to 123, you can now play a part in helping young minds to grasp the basics. It’s a difficult task, since the attention-spans of five and six-year-olds is not the best, but once you do grasp their attention, you’ll feel a sense of accomplishment when your young students learn to count to ten and recite the alphabet. What a wonderful job you have!
§170/hour
Hours: 8.00am ~ 3.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
8. Juniors Teacher ~ The kids are bigger and older but work gets harder. You’ll need to keep the lessons interesting to keep their attention! This is where a little more order in the classroom is required as the students move up towards the oldest in the school and begin to get a little too big for their boots. But keep your cool and know when to revoke classroom privileges.
§240/hour
Hours: 8.00am ~ 3.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
9. Vice Principal ~ Having survived life in the classroom, you can now deal with some paperwork, have meetings with parents and teach occasionally. You’ve been put in charge of the discipline in within the school and having to deal with disgruntled parents and students isn’t quite the delight you were expecting, but it’s part of the job and you’ll have to really have a golden tongue to keep your sanity.
§325/hour
Hours: 8.00am ~ 3.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
10. Principal ~ More paperwork and meetings with parents await you now you’ve reached the top. You’ll do less teaching now as you are involved in the business side of running a school. Appointments of staff is placed in your hands and you carry the responsibility of the conduct of the school as a whole. Such responsibility! But you’ve climbed your way to the top and your career has been a long, yet rewarding one. So relax on the weekends and bask in the glow of your accomplishments.
§450/hour
Hours: 8.00am ~ 3.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Secondary Branch
6. Graduate Teacher ~ Everything you’ve learned will be put into practise now as you are a qualified teacher. You’ve chosen your special subject and you get a real sense of fulfilment when your students begin to grasp the subject and perform well in their tests and exams.
§150/hour
Hours: 8.00am ~ 2.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
7. Head of Year ~ As Head of your year group, you have to deal with any problems concerning students in your Year as well as your teaching duties. It means missing the odd lunch break and sometimes staying at the school very late, but you’ll manage it; you’re the Head of Year! It’s your job!
§185/hour
Hours: 8.00am ~ 2.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
8. Head of Languages ~ You still teach but your boss has recommended you as Head of the Foreign Languages department. You’re in charge of all things concerning the languages taught in the school. You’ll organise foreign residential trips for the students and will be in charge of arranging the school exchange programmes.
§265/hour
Hours: 8.00am ~ 2.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
9. Vice Principal ~ There will be more paperwork and less teaching now as you meet with parents, attend meetings and find that there are never enough hours in the day. Discipline is your domain and you have to maintain the behavioural standards within the school environment.
§350/hour
Hours: 8.00am ~ 2.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
10. Principal ~ You are now involved more in the business side of running the school. You’ve reached the top and all your hard work has paid off. You still have to organise the staffing and confer with your Vice Principal as to the discipline, but your work is coming together and your retirement will look promising.
§475/hour
Hours: 8.00am ~ 2.00pm
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
