Welcome to MissyHissy’s Job Centre! This is where I host all my Sims 3 Careers, Afterschool Activities and Apprenticeships!
This post is your go-to and should be your first port of call when you visit the Job Centre.
*All the careers are compatible with Patch 1.69*
A quick guide to the pages on this site:
- The Updates page contains all the latest updates within the last few months. Check it out often for any updates to existing careers, translations or new careers.
- Notices contains three separate pages with notices I’d be grateful if you would read. These are Notes About Translations, which I would be grateful if everyone read (not just translators or potential translators) and Languages, which lists all the languages available in the game and the careers that have been translated into them. A handy list, updated frequently, particularly if you’re looking for careers in your own language, or would like to translate at all for me. Finally, the newest page gives details of the website’s Ad-Free Status and reiterates that none of my downloads will ever be pay links.
- The Job Board contains a list of all the careers I’ve made, in alphabetical order, with links to each of the careers.
- The Student Board is a list of the Afterschool Activities and Apprenticeships. It also features links to my ‘Degree’ Careers on my sister site, MissyHissy’s College of Further Education.
- The Creation Policies page is fairly self-explanatory and just outlines my overall policies.
- The Reporting Issues page gives a guideline to reporting any issues with the careers. It does make it much easier if you guys follow these guidelines, and you’ll get your solutions a lot quicker if you do.
- The FAQ page contains some frequently asked questions about downloading, installing and playing the careers, including common issues. Please take the time to read, it could save you hassle later on.
The menu on the side contains information about other mods that can work alongside the custom careers.
- The Recommended Mods and Additions page contains a detailed list of mods I have found that enhance the careers. So have a look if you’re interested in shaking things up a bit.
- The Custom Rabbitholes page talks about Arsil’s Custom Rabbithole Doors and how they can be used with the careers.
- There is also a page dedicated to Zerbu’s Ultimate Careers Mod & My Careers. This page gives a guideline on which EA careers to link to and contains a link to a tutorial on setting the mod up for custom careers.
If you use any of the Careers I converted for Lientebollemeis, I won’t be copying those over to this blog, since they’re not really my work. But you can still download them from Lientebollemeis‘ site. I will be continuing to convert these careers once I’d updated my own careers.

You need to make sure you have the latest version of Twallan’s Careers mod 🙂 The careers work, but that the mod that you need the latest update for 🙂

if you decide not to make anymore careers, would you consider making a tutorial on how to make them so that those of us who had career suggestions can try and make our own?

Where do I download these?
Go to the Job Board and you’ll find the links to all the careers there 🙂 Just pick and choose which ones you want and the download links are on the individual pages 🙂
I dont know if this is still active but do you know how I can go about editing one of your careers? Im on a mac and am trying to figure out how to open the file just to edit the job titles
or just how to do it on a pc…
Not sure how it works on a Mac but if you download and install s3pe and you can edit the titles in the .careers file 🙂 Let me know if you have any problems.

Yes, they do as long as you have the latest version of Nraas Careers 🙂
You’re probably not taking requests, but could there be Maid service? Accessed through the self-employed mod. Pleeease?

Hi there. Sadly, that requires script modding, which is not something I have any experience with. Instead, I am working on an alternative University system, with ‘degree’ style careers. Thank you for asking, though!
Hi can you make the modelling career available without university? My system can’t run it, it literally shuts off even if i just install it. I know the suitable method is to get a new computer but with rent and bills, priorities aren’t for that. Just seem s a stretch to only have it available if you have university when its quite a big expansion pack that requires a lot from systems to run. Thanks
Hi there! I’m afraid not, sorry. The University expansion is quite important because I use the Social networking skill a lot with the promotions and the opportunities.

When you say cannot, do you mean you can’t find them or they’re unavailable on Lien’s blog?
That’s okay. When I click on the file, it gives me an error message. [“error” : [ “code” : “generalException”, “message” : “general exception while processing]]
And this is on Lien’s blog, right?

Hello, the afterschool activities are not showing up in my game anymore. They were showing up/working before, but now they do not show up at all. Is there any way to fix this?
Please ignore my original post. I guess they weren’t showing up because the children are aging up. They are showing now(for the other children) .

Hi, I just wanted to say I accidentally downloaded your Toymaker Career without realizing it needed ambitions and university, I really enjoyed playing the career until my sim reached level five and nearly destroyed my game, I was wondering (if not an inconvenience) if it were possible to make a version that did not require university life as it my an interesting experience and was looking forward to seeing where it went, however if this is not at all possible I understand.
Hi there! Sorry to hear you hit up against that. I’m afraid that University is used for a few of the opportunities and Ambitions is quite instrumental for the career. So sadly, this won’t be possible.
Thank you for the quick response, although I don’t have ambitions yet, I plan to for Christmas. I don’t often do opportunities so I was wonderings if just having ambitions would mean opportunities don’t pop up or that the game would once again break down?
Ambitions is definitely more of a staple. The opportunities would still come up, but you could ignore most of them. In fact, only two of them use University (Design-A-Dream and Self Promotion). The others are base game or Ambitions.
So as long as you have Ambitions, you *should* be able to play through just fine! 🙂
